So, if you’re new around here, then right about now you’re probably thinking “Why doesn’t she just paint the walls a color that she likes?” Well, I could, but that would really be a big silly waste of time seeing as how all the ceilings need to come out and be raised up and replaced, and also the walls all really need to be torn out and re-drywalled.
So I get a new table and a new runner to go with it.The best part is, I can make a new one every month for next to nothing with all the great napkins I always see on clearance.
Hooray for good ideas!Well, I realize the time for advent calendars started five days ago, but I wanted to share this fun idea today anyway. If you still want to make something like this, you could even do a 12 days of Christmas thing and have plenty of time left this year to get it together.Let me tell you a little more about it!.
When I was younger, my gramma put together the neatest advent calendar for me.I just loved it and it made that Christmas just a little extra special for me that year.. Fast-forward 20 years or so later and that advent calendar is still on my mind.
How could I not do the same thing for my own little Christmas elf?.
I did one last year and of course it was an instant hit.I live near a bunch of lakes, but nowhere near anywhere that you would collect seashells.
aaall over the place though in the summer because they just make me feel happy!.I just have a collection of old shells that I keep in a big ziplock back and use year after year, but if you don’t have any, just adding in a few things in navy and white here and there can give off that same “by the seaside” kind of feeling..
Sorry, that was lame.I couldn’t help myself!
